Outreach ministries

Mark 16:15 tells us " Go into ALL the world and preach the gospel ( good news) to EVERY creature. Our vision at OCFC is to be an extension of the church and God's love out into our community. Nursing home

Through teaching, worship, and prayer, we remind the residents of God's good news for them, that He sees them, loves them, and that they are not alone. 

Prison

Volunteers of Odessa Christian Faith Center in this ministry take Matthew 25:35-40 to heart by going into prisons to minister and share the good news of the gospel.

ROCrageous

Reaching our Children- From April to October, a team of volunteers goes out each Tuesday and Thursday to minister God's Word to children across the city of Odessa through praise and worship, objective lessons, and playing games.

connect centers

Our Connect Centers are where first-time visitors gain more information, congregants sign up for events and classes, and where potential volunteers can seek ministry placement.

greeters

As a greeter, we want to welcome our guests with warmth and kindness. A warm smile and sincere greeting are part of our service here at Odessa Christian Faith Center.

parking lot

We assist in greeting everyone as they arrive on campus through our Parking Lot ministry. This ministry also ensures your safety as you come and go from the building and our OCFC campus. 

ushers

Our role is to ensure congregants have everything they need to have the best experience possible. We assist with seating, passing out tithe envelopes, serving communion, and prayer lines. Our goal is to maintain an order of peace and hospitality throughout the services.

We look forward to providing an atmosphere that fosters community. We want to provide a comfortable space where people can sip their favorite coffee, make new friends, and peruse books that will help build their faith.


Cleaning

To an everyday churchgoer, how the building looks and is maintained represents how the church will be able to take care of them. You are not “just cleaning.” When you do your part with excellence, it glorifies the Father.


Hospitality

Do you enjoy decorating for special events and want to use your gift of hospitality to assist the staff in preparation for special events or to serve guest ministers? If this sounds fulfilling to you, please fill out the interest form, and a staff member will contact you.


prayer

Prayer Partners are called to serve the congregation of OCFc by using gifting to pray and intercede through not only praying but also sharing, teaching, and leading people into the knowledge of God's Word.


Children's ministries

We minister the Word of God to children at their level of learning. Our mission is that by the time a child goes into the 6th grade, he or she will: Know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Understand how to have a relationship with God. Understand that God has a plan and a purpose for their life. Be willing participants in service and ministry.

oneighty Youth

At Oneighty we are reaching the youth of our city with the love of God. Our goal is to teach our youth to be disciples of Jesus Christ and have a passionate, lasting faith. We are showing them how to have their own relationship with Jesus, that God has a significant plan for their lives, and how to live out that plan every day. We are building the future of OCFC, our city, and our nation. You have a great opportunity to be part of all of this. No one person can do this, it takes all of us working together through the Spirit of God to make Oneighty the powerful youth ministry God wants it to be.

Through storytelling, we communicate the truths of God to our congregation and community. Our stories are told with loving relevance, Eden-like beauty, and life-changing power.


music

God has a ministry calling upon each of His children, to build up His Church. If you are called to participate in the Music Ministry of Odessa Christian Faith Center, we are ready to get you involved. Whether you sing, play a musical instrument, or like computer-music software, there is a place for you here.


dance

Our dance team ministers through a variety of dance styles such as ballet, Folklorico, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical and more! This ministry provides the opportunity to worship God through dance during our weekly services, special events, and outreach ministries.

We are the support ministry to the OCFC Fine Arts and AVL ministries. We ensure that all equipment is working properly and that set changes happen quietly and efficiently for every service. We meet once a month for training and maintaining equipment purposes.

Using our gifts of technology and creativity, we create

environments that enhance praise and worship, and

the teaching and preaching of the Word of God.


Video broadcasting

We are the window into OCFC, making us visible to people from all over the Permian Basin and the world. We give them an excellent view of our worship and our teaching, drawing our audience closer so we can minister to them more effectively.


spanish translation

Our Spanish translation ministry is an extension of what takes place at OCFC. We help bridge the gap for those who may not understand English. We believe that the uncompromising word of God that's being taught at Odessa Christian Faith Center should reach the Hispanic community of Odessa, the Permian Basin, and the surrounding cities.


kfc avl

We use lights, screens, and sound to create a fun learning environment so our friends can learn about Jesus. As the service's adult leader, you help guide and train our next generation of AVL techs.
