Hi, I’m a regular attendee of ocfc and 180 and I was just hoping if I could submit a prayer request out to my grandmother. She’s very sick in the hospital and I know that the strongest healing power there is, is prayer. I believe God has a plan for everything and I don’t know what it is for my grandma but I know it’s not for her to experience the pain she’s experiencing. Please send out your prayers church family. Love you all and God bless.
We are praying! You are correct – It is not God’s will for your Grandmother to experience pain (3 John 2). We will believe with you that she will have peace and that her Doctors have supernatural wisdom to discover the correct treatment for her. According to I Peter 2:24 she was already healed by the stripes on Jesus’ back. We love you Jazmin!
Hello, we are interested in visiting your services. Do you offer nursery services? We have an 18 month and a 5month old. Thank you.
Yes! We do have classes for all children from Birth – 12th Grade. Your 5 month old would go to Nursery 1 and your 18 month old would go to Toddler 1. When you arrive, please go to the Welcome Center and a Guide will help you find those classes. Please feel free to call our offices for any other questions at (432) 368-7714.
Thank you, and we look forward to meeting you!
Hello! I’m very interested in visiting your weekday service but with school I was wondering if you could give me an estimate on about how long it runs, I know it may run longer at times so an estimate is fine. Also I have a 6 year old and I was wondering where to take her.
Hi Marie! Our Wednesday evening service is approximately 90 minutes. We have classes for children of all ages. Your 6 year old would attend our Kids Faith Church.
We do have signage throughout the building.
When you arrive in our lobby you will see people with name tags that say “Questions? Ask Me.” They can show you to the class.
Hello I attend ocfc before I moved away I be leave I moved away for all the wrong reason. I could not find a church where I found peace for 6 months and one day I was going there glove box in car and ran across ocfc cd (I had never got in glove box) I listen to the cd over and over and peace went threw my body I knew right then and there where I needed to be . I packed what I had not much no money just a full tank of gas and here I am back in odessa . I am in need of prayer that I find work and a place to stay that my motel gets paid . I truly believe that the Lord helped me open that glove box to let me know where I had peace and where I belong . I know this I fill it
I watched part of your program this morning on Fox 24 day in Odessa. Question—you mentioned sowing a seed or seeds and then harvesting. You referenced 1 Corinthians 3:6– what seed is Paul by inspiration referring to? Is it anything? Like wealth (monetarily)? Or physical health? Luke 8:11 says the seed is the Word of God. If it’s wealth or health then why are there poor and sick today? Wouldn’t that make God a respecter of persons which he isn’t? Acts 10:34
Bret,
Yes, the seed is God’s Word. Certainly Paul is referencing God’s Word as seed in I Corinthians 3. If you read from verse 1, he is scolding them for their carnality: envying, jealousy, strife, wrangling and factions among them. In other words, these works of the flesh hinder the planting of God’s Word in the human heart. You can read the parable of the sower in Mark 4 to confirm that.
Secondly, there are sick and poor today for several reasons:
1) Lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13.
2) Unbelief – Mark 6:1-6; Matthew 13:53-58.
3) Traditions of Man – Mark 7:5-13.
Lastly, God is not a respecter of persons, but a respecter of faith – Hebrews 11:6.
